Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 gets new update with Watch 4 functions
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is the latest smartwatch from the Korean manufacturer, but that does not mean that older models are forgotten. There is a new, nice update ready for the Galaxy Watch 3 that adds new functionality.
Update for Galaxy Watch 3
If you own the Galaxy Watch 3, there is good news to report. Samsung is rolling out a new update for the smartwatch, which adds functionality of the new Galaxy Watch 4. This is reflected in the changelog, which mentions the new possibilities. Although the Galaxy Watch 4 is equipped with Wear OS, and the Watch 3 does not, that does not mean that certain functions cannot be added to the previous model.
Tim shares us the information that a new update is available to download. It’s an approximately 50MB update and first of all it brings a new set of watch faces for you to use. You can also use the group challenge widget at the watch faces and talk about more accurate calorie burn levels based on heart rate. We also see that the fall detection has been improved and that the calendar synchronization period can be extended from 3 months to 1 year.
The update is now offered on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. If you can download it, your watch will notify you. You can also check for updates yourself via the settings on the watch.
