Samsung Galaxy S22 series gets second update in a week
Samsung is rolling out a new update for the devices from the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Striking, since the phone also received an update last week. What will the new update bring?
Samsung Galaxy S22 gets new June update
A new update is ready for the devices from the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. The three models, consisting of the Samsung Galaxy S22, the S22+ and the S22 Ultra, will all receive their second update in one week. Exactly a week ago, Samsung also rolled out an update for the high-end series, with the security update from June being rolled out. The new update seems to bring other improvements.
The latest update that can now be downloaded for the three smartphones has a size of 218.55MB. The changelog states that the overall stability of features has been improved, along with improved security of the device. The latter has already happened with the previous update, details about the first point are not shared.
Camera improvements?
It is not entirely clear what exactly has been improved with the update, although it seems to mainly have improvements for the camera. For example, Samsung reports on its South Korean community platform that a large number of improvements are coming. These include improvements to contrast and sharpness in photos, a bug in Single Take where shooting stopped after one shot, and better performance for Portrait mode. Taking pictures of your pet should also be better, with the white balance algorithm being more accurate. While recording videos, the memory consumption is now also optimized.
It is not entirely clear whether these issues are directly related to this update. Samsung usually mentions such changes in the changelog. If you notice any changes in the camera, we’d love to hear about it!
