Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Motorola Edge 20 get January update
Samsung is rolling out the new January security update for the devices from the Galaxy S22 series. In addition, the latest update is also available for the Motorola Edge 20. We list the details.
Galaxy S22 gets January update
There is good news to report for the three smartphones from the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. Samsung is rolling out the new January security update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. This update was released earlier this month and arrived at the Galaxy S21 series at the time. Now other models from the manufacturer are also getting the update, starting with the S22 series.
Samsung not only brings the patches from Google, but has also added its own January patches, specifically for Samsung devices. This also ensures a fairly generous update. For example, the size of the update on our Galaxy S22 + is 227.20MB. The changelog does not report any other innovations or improvements, although it is not excluded that manufacturers usually also implement bug fixes and the like.
Motorola Edge 20
Marco and Richard also report to us. The Motorola Edge 20 will also receive the January security update. This means that the smartphone released 1.5 years ago has been updated with the latest security patch. We also see no new functions here. The update has a size of 67.65 MB and will be rolled out from now on. If you can get the update, you will receive a notification on your smartphone.
