Samsung Galaxy S22 phones are said to be smaller than their predecessors
While the Galaxy S21 series stands on the throne of Samsung’s current flagship phones, the Korean company is, of course, diligently preparing for its successor. To the line Galaxy S22 We don’t know much yet, but occasional flashes of leaks or estimates appear from time to time. The latter includes information on the size of the displays in this series. Traditionally, there should be three devices, each of which should be slightly smaller than its Galaxy S21 equivalent.
Alleged display size for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series
- Galaxy S22 Ultra 6,81″ (Galaxy S21 Ultra 6,9″)
- Galaxy S22 Plus 6,55″(Galaxy S21 Ultra 6,7″)
- Galaxy S22 6,06″(Galaxy S21 Ultra 6,2″)
These are really small differences, but we are probably witnessing (if the estimate is confirmed) that Samsung itself no longer intends to enlarge the phones and intends to set the opposite trend. In addition, a slight reduction in diagonals could be related to one other technological advance. The manufacturer could save a few millimeters by removing the bullet for the front camera and the top bar, which is sometimes needed to cover it. And it thanks to the lens hidden under the display. Finally, let’s add that probably only the Ultra variant will have an LTPO display, ie a screen capable of dynamic frequency change.
