Samsung Galaxy S21 FE vs Galaxy S21 | Porovnanie
The Samsung Galaxy S21 flagship series is celebrating a year since the show, but recently received another member in the form of an affordable model that retains as many flag specifications as possible. This is, of course, the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. The Android Authority portal now brings a comparison with the almost identical Samsung Galaxy S21.

Design
In terms of design, the Galaxy S21 series models were one of the most beautiful smartphones of 2021. This is thanks to the clever integration of the island with cameras, which is also brought by the latest Galaxy S21 FE model. However, there are a few differences between it and the Galaxy S21 smartphone.
Although the Galaxy S21 has a plastic back, thanks to a different design, it looks more premium than the Galaxy S21 FE at first glance. The fact that in the case of the S21 model, the camera island is made of metal and feeds directly to the frame of the device also makes a big difference.

We can also find smaller differences in the size of the equipment. The Galaxy S21 FE is slightly taller and wider than the Galaxy S21, due to the different screen diagonals – 6.4 ″ and 6.2 ″. Both smartphones have the same thickness.
Display and fingerprint sensor
Apart from the size, there are no differences between the device displays. Both models have an FHD + panel with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 with support for 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz sampling rate. In addition, these are flat panels that are less prone to breakage than curved displays.

In both cases, in the upper part of the display, we find a centrally located selfie camera, and in the lower part, a built-in fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy S21 offers a faster and more accurate ultrasonic sensor in this respect, while the S21 FE has only an optical sensor.
Processor, RAM and storage
The equipment is similar in terms of performance, but in our region the S21 FE offers one significant improvement. The Galaxy S21 is available in Slovakia with an Exynos 2100 processor and the Galaxy S21 FE with a competing Snapdragon 888 chipset. In terms of RAM capacity, both smartphones come with 8 GB of RAM, but the S21 FE is also available in a 6 GB RAM version. When choosing internal storage, we traditionally come across a capacity of 128 GB or 256 GB, and it is not possible to expand it with a microSD card.
Cameras
On paper, the devices offer the same set of rear cameras, except for a different telephoto lens. The 12 MP primary sensor with IOS complements the 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, and in the case of the S21, a 64 MP telephoto lens with triple lossless zoom is added to the triple. Owners of the S21 FE will only have to settle for an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

However, when comparing selfie cameras, the Galaxy S21 FE has an advantage with its 32 MP sensor. The S21 model has a sensor with a resolution of only 10 MP, but as a bonus it adds autofocus support.
Battery and charging
Users who suffer from long battery life will certainly enjoy the larger, 4,500 mAh battery on the new Galaxy S21 FE. The battery capacity of the S21 model reached 4,000 mAh. In both cases, we stay with 25 W cable and 15 W wireless charging. The devices also have support for reverse cable charging.
Software
Both devices currently run on Android 12 with One UI 4.0, but since the Galaxy S21 is slightly older, shorter software support is required. Also at its launch, it came with Android 11 and received the latest version recently through an update. This means that he has already received his first major system update and has only two left.
