Samsung Galaxy S20 series, S20 FE, S21 series and S21 FE also get One UI 5.1

Samsung is rolling out a major update for the models in the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 series, including the FE models. The eight different devices are all updated to One UI 5.1. This new skin brings a lot of improvements.

Galaxy S20 and S21 series get One UI 5.1

This afternoon we wrote about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 that received the update to One UI 5.1. We can now also share good news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S21 FE. All eight of these devices will now also be offered the update to the One UI 5.1 skin. Along with this update, security update February 2023 is also included, along with the Samsung patches. There are plenty of new features. For example, you can create a shared photo album with other family members in the Samsung Gallery app. You can also use new editing options in your photo, such as removing reflections or shadows. In the camera app, you can also turn up to three faces in a photo into emoticons, thanks to AR Emoji Camera. Multitasking should also be faster and Samsung Internet Browser makes it possible to continue your session on another device, where you are logged in with the same Samsung account. The update is now being rolled out for the various models. If you can download it, you will be notified. You can also manually check whether a new update is available at Settings > Software update.
