Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite receive a security patch

Company Samsung launched an update with the June security patch for selected devices in late May. Now according to the portal SamMobile they receive smartphones Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite a Galaxy Note 10 Lite.

Both smartphones came on the market in 2020 as cheaper and less equipped versions of their more expensive namesakes. They recently received an update to Android 11 with the One UI 3.x extension, and now their owners can enjoy the June security patch. It should fix 47 critical bugs and vulnerabilities in Android and 19 bugs in the One UI extension.

The update for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite smartphone is numbered N770FXXS7EUE5 and is currently available in Spain. In the case of the Galaxy S10 Lite, it has the designation G770FXXU4EUF1, size 324.44 MB and is available in Russia except Spain. This is by no means the last update for both devices, as the manufacturer extended their warranty for security updates to four years at the beginning of the year.

Updates are available in the form of an OTA update and the system should notify you of their availability automatically by notification. However, you can also verify it manually in the section Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install. Before installation, make sure that your smartphone battery is at least 70% charged.

How is the competition?

The Chinese company Xiaomi started last week with the distribution of the MIUI 12.5 superstructure for the flagship model Xiaomi Mi 11. Another Chinese company Huawei brought an April security patch for the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro + and Huawei Mate 40 Porsche Design smartphones. Motorola recently began distributing Android 11 for models Motorola moto g 5G plus a Motorola razr 5G.

There was also a young Realme brand, which updated the Realme 6 Pro and 7 Pro smartphones to the latest version of the system. Owners are already enjoying Android 11 Nokia 4.2. And the Honor 9x and 9X Pro smartphones received a May security update a few days ago.
