RTL viewers must be strong now: the TV station loses a real legend. After 30 years, Maxi Biewer is leaving the station. But the weather woman is not drawn to the competition, but out to sea. For RTL, this is the second loss in a short time.

For many RTL viewers, it is an integral part of the TV evening: Maxi Biewer. Like no other, the weather expert has become the face of the private broadcaster and has catapulted herself into the hearts of viewers with her likeable manner. But after 30 years, that’s the end of it (Source: RTL).

“After three decades, Maxi Biewer is leaving the big weather stage,” says RTL. Biewer, who was born in East Berlin in the mid-1960s, started at RTL in 1992. In all the years at the Cologne TV station, it’s like that collected over 15,000 weather forecasts – in different places. Whether on RTL Aktuell, Guten Morgen Deutschland or in many interviews: Biewer always explained the current weather to Germans with a smile.

But Maxi Biewer was not only convincing in front of the RTL camera: In 2019, the weather woman also went under the authors and published her book “I make sunshine out of rain”, in which she took the reader on a journey behind the TV -Take weather maps with you. With 4.4 stars out of a possible 5, the book is also very well received by Amazon customers (see on Amazon).

After RTL, Maxi Biewer goes on the boat. The weather expert has already made solid plans with her husband: “In the summer we are going to the Canary Islands. Then – at the end of the Atlantic hurricane season – we will continue sailing towards the Caribbean.”
