Rockstar on witch hunt to take GTA mods offline
After all these years, Rockstar Games has embarked on a witch hunt. The goal is to get GTA mods made by the community offline.
This week it was rumored that Rockstar is working on a remaster of three popular GTA games. Namely Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas. The games would remain faithful to the original, but would be polished up in terms of graphics, among other things. However, you can already play these kinds of games in a fairly polished state with the help of mods. And this is where Rockstar comes into the picture.
The release of a trilogy does indeed appear to be in the works, given Rockstar’s behavior. Suddenly the company has started a witch hunt to take GTA mods offline. There have been rumors about this in recent weeks and recently there have been new developments. According to LibertyCity.net, a number of mods have been taken offline at the initiative of Take-Two Interactive. This concerns the following mods:
- Vice Cry: Remastered 1.0
- OpenManhunt 1.0.0
- liberty revind
- Bullworth – OpenBull 1.0.0
- ViIV (Alhpa version и Version 3)
- Grand Theft Auto V: Bullworth 0.1 [ALPHA]
- SA2LC
- Liberty City & Vice City v4.0v
As you can see, these are mods for GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas. That can’t be a coincidence, of course. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games are doing everything they can to get those mods off the world. So that they will soon be able to sell their own polished trilogy of these games.
