Ridley Scott’s Napoleon movie hits theaters in November before hitting Apple TV
AppleTV+ announcement than the movie Napoleon by Ridley Scott with Joaquin Phoenix will be released in cinemas worldwide in November. We will have to wait to have it on the streaming platform. Apple does not give a date yet.
The release date of the movie Napoleon of Ridley Scott at the cinema is November 22, 2023. At least that will be the date in the United States and it is quite possible that it will be the same in France since it falls on a Wednesday. This date may come as a surprise to the United States, given that films are generally released on Fridays.
As always, the streaming release is going to be a complicated case in France compared to the rest of the world. Indeed, the media chronology imposes a delay between theatrical release and availability on other media (VOD, DVD/Blu-ray, streaming). In this case, the law imposes a deadline of 17 for the release on a streaming platform like Apple TV+, meaning that the French broadcast on Apple TV+ would be in April 2025. It will be much earlier in the other countries.
Napoleon features Joaquin Phoenix as the French emperor and military leader. The film is an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his rapid and ruthless rise to the rank of emperor, seen through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine, played by Vanessa Kirby. The feature film traces Napoleon’s famous battles, his relentless ambition and his amazing strategic mind as a military leader.
