Renders of Sony Xperia 1 V show slightly smaller device
Renders of the Sony Xperia 1 V have appeared online, showing that the similarities with its predecessor are great, but a slightly smaller size has been chosen. These are unofficial images shared by OnLeaks.

The images show that the camera island is slightly different from the previous Xperia. There is now also a speed camera on that island, next to which there are three cameras. That is probably a 12-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide angle of 40 megapixels and a telephoto lens of 12 megapixels.
Furthermore, the screen is still 6.5 inches, but the device itself is a bit smaller, according to OnLeaks. That is 161 by 69.3 by 8.5 millimeters. Last year’s was 165 by 71 by 8.2 millimeters. It will reassure many fans of the 3.5mm audio jack that a headphone jack is still present. There is also a shutter button and we find the fingerprint scanner on the power button.
In terms of technical specifications, the Sony Xperia 1 V is expected to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, it will have 16 GB of RAM and all this will be powered by the 5,000 mAh battery. When the device appears is still unknown, but it is expected that this will take place this summer. Although we think it might also be at MWC, which takes place at the end of this month.
The predecessor
The predecessor has been examined with us. This is what we thought of Sony Xperia 1 IV: “For the fourth time in a row, the Sony Xperia 1 IV received few innovations in terms of the design of the phone. And Sony is not the only one in that area, but what is striking is that the Japanese brand can only gain a small market share worldwide. Isn’t it about time to try something new? Some design choices of the Xperia 1 IV do work, but Sony can still kick some sacred cows.”
