Samsung will announce the new Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in January. The phone has a rich history, while it is not even official yet. Then he would come, then he wouldn’t, and now he would. Thanks to the German colleagues from Winfuture, we now learn a lot about the smartphone from Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will have a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen. This delivers a refresh rate of 120Hz and gets a Gorilla Glass Victus layer. The fingerprint scanner will be integrated in the display and this Fan Edition will have a polycarbonate back.
Samsung would choose not to supply the phone with its own Exynos (2100) chipset, but with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888. That can be beneficial; because Qualcomm processors are generally better known for their endurance. The device also gets 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. Expanding the memory is not an option.
We will continue with the information, because there is also news about the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. It is expected to get a 12-megapixel main lens with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. There will be an 8 megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens. The selfie cam has a 32-megapixel sensor.
Other details that float to the surface are, of course, support for 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, support for eSIM, wireless charging, NFC, IP68 certification and a 7.9 millimeter thick housing. The weight would be 170 grams. We can also expect a 4500 mAh battery with support for fast charging; although that information remains in limbo. The price would be 749 euros (6/128GB) and 819 euros (8/256GB).
