RB Leipzig vs. FC Bayern Munich in live stream and free TV – who is broadcasting?
The long winter break is finally over and the Bundesliga is finally starting again today. RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich play the first game of the second half of the season today. You can tune in to the Bundesliga kick-off today in the live stream and free TV.
You can see the start of the Bundesliga live on free TV today free of charge and without a subscription. Unlike in the past, the opening game of the second half of the season will not be shown on public broadcasters. Instead, you can tune in to RB Leipzig against Bayern Munich on TV and stream on Sat.1. The broadcast starts at 7:30 p.m. Kick-off is at 8:30 p.m. The Sat.1 live stream is available online or via the free TV broadcaster’s apps or at ran.de.
Who is now showing all other games of the Bundesliga 2022/23 on TV or live stream? Sky? Eurosport – or is it “DAZN”? What about free TV broadcasts? Being able to offer the Bundesliga live in its entirety is an attractive business, and the rights to Bundesliga highlights are also in great demand. For the 2022/23 season there is no change compared to the previous season. If you want to see all the games cheaply, you can book the combination package with DAZN and Sky again at the start of the second half of the season:
There is also currently a combined subscription with DAZN and waipu.tv:

With the larger volume of Bundesliga live games, the sports streaming service is once again increasing the prices. You no longer pay 11.99 euros per month like before, but now 24.99 euros (1 stream) respectively 29.99 euros (2 streams). There is no longer a free trial month at DAZN. The sports program from DAZN can be easily accessed via the browser, Android or iOS apps, Fire TV, Apple TV and some Smart TVs.
1st and 2nd Bundesliga on Sky and “WOW” on TV & live stream

If you can’t get used to the costs of a long-term Sky subscription, you can alternatively use the “WOW” service, which can be canceled monthly. Here you pay 24.99 euros per month for access to the Bundesliga games. However, there are always offers where you can sometimes secure a month for 9.99 euros.
1. Bundesliga on free TV: What are ARD, ZDF & Co. showing?
Also in the Bundesliga season 2022/23 it looks rather meager for free TV football fans. Usually only one game per half series of the season is shown. So there are a few occasions for which you don’t necessarily need WOW access or a DAZN subscription. This season, however, the free TV games of the Bundesliga are not available on ARD or ZDF, but on Sat.1.
1. Bundesliga on free TV: overview
- Matchday 1: Eintracht Frankfurt vs. FC Bayern Munich today in stream and TV on Sat.1
- 17th game day: Friday game
- 18th matchday: Friday game
- DFL Supercup
In addition to the encounters listed above, you will also see some games of the Europe League on free TV. Theoretically, this offer can still change. If there are more games on ZDF or, for example, on Nitro, you will find out from us. In the DFB Cup, ZDF and ARD each show one to a maximum of two games per round. Elsewhere we summarize where you can watch the Bundesliga highlights and what the radio broadcasts look like.
