Rainfall radar predicts 35 degrees next week: day at the beach?
March stirs his tail, April does what he wants and October is far from sober. This last, really existing weather spell(?), certainly applies for next week. Buienradar reports that it will be no less than 35 degrees. Time for a day at the beach?
Finally warm again
Okay to each his own, but I’m not a fan of the gray gray weather of the past week. Just give me a lovely sultry summer breeze that caresses my hair as it blows. Seagulls screaming, tourists digging holes on land, Patrick and the undersigned are toiling together building sandcastles on the beach and eating delicious crunchy ‘sand fries’. Man am I looking forward to summer again!
And for a moment, for a moment, my proposal was heard. Buienradar, one of the best-known weather forecast apps, predicted 35 degrees for next week. I quickly ran to my shed, got my bodyboard and landing net ready, took the sunscreen from my drawer and put on my colorful rubber duck swimming trunks. But then, then it happened.
April 1st comes early this year
Just to be sure, I checked the weather forecast in Buienradar one more time, before I decided to let Patrick come all the way to Noordwijk. And there it was: 15 degrees. The 35 degrees turned out to be an error in the app, or as meteorologist Maurice Middendorp reports to RTL: “It is a mistake in the app, something goes wrong when supplying the weather data. We hope it will be resolved with the new delivery of data.”
And yes, it is now resolved. For next week there is now a temperature of 16 degrees with a high chance of precipitation. Gone beach, gone seagull, gone sandcastle. Oh well, let’s look on the sunny side, most of the rain will fall next to you.
