Qualcomm presents Snapdragon 782G processor for higher mid-end segment
In the middle segment we will soon see devices with a Snapdragon 782G chipset. This processor has now been officially announced by Qualcomm. It is a successor to the 778G+ that was presented earlier.
Snapdragon 782G announced
Qualcomm has announced a new processor, which we will soon see in smartphones. It is the Snapdragon 782G, with which the chip manufacturer has a successor to the Snapdragon 778G+. That processor was announced last October.
We will see the new Snapdragon 782G+ in the somewhat higher middle segment. The chipset provides support for 5G, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. In addition, the processor can handle a camera of up to 200 megapixels and there is Quick Charge 4+. Compared to its predecessor, the new model should have a 5 percent faster CPU and a 10 percent faster GPU. The clock speed of the Snapdragon 782G comes out at 2.7 GHz once, 2.2 GHz three times and 1.9 GHz four times.
In the near future we will see the first smartphones with a Snapdragon 782+ chipset.
