Prices & advantages of Joyn PLUS +
In mid-2019, ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery launched the joint streaming service “Joyn”, which has replaced “7TV”. In addition to the free live stream and media libraries of the two providers’ private television stations, there is more to see on the video-on-demand platform. The “Joyn PLUS +” subscription offers an expanded range of programs, more films and series to view and everything in HD quality. Here at GIGA we will show you what “Joyn” costs and what advantages “PLUS +” membership brings you.
First of all: You can watch the live streams of the free TV channels and the programs of the past 14 days on “Joyn” free of charge and without registration look at. With the offer of the private broadcasters, of course, you have to join in additional advertising and SD quality to be satisfied. If you want to see everything in HD, receive the additional pay-TV channels and use the entire video-on-demand offer from “Joyn”, you need the paid “Joyn PLUS +” subscription
Joyn PLUS + costs (2021): Price & advantages of the subscription
With the “Joyn PLUS +” subscription, the free media library of the ProSiebenSat.1 stations becomes a serious streaming service. As a new customer, you can test the “PLUS +” subscription for one month free of charge, after which the price will be 6.99 euros per month.
In addition to the ad-free use of the service and HD quality, the “PLUS +” membership offers you even more. Much of the on-demand content from maxdome can now also be viewed via “Joyn PLUS +”. A total of over 30,000 films and series are currently included in the “PLUS +” subscription. With “Joyn Originals” and “Exclusives” such as “jerks”, “Surviving R. Kelly” and “Die Läusemutter” the service also offers exclusive content.
In addition to the larger on-demand catalog, there is an expanded selection of channels: With “Joyn PLUS +” you can also watch the pay TV channels ProSieben FUN, Sat.1 Emotions, kabel eins Classics, Eurosport 2, Animal Planet and Discovery Channel live Watch stream.
In the future on “Joyn PLUS +”
The “PLUS +” subscription should continue to grow. It was actually planned for 2020 to transfer the entire offer from maxdome to “Joyn PLUS +” and that the new video-on-demand service would ultimately inherit the old one. The Eurosport Player should also be fully integrated into the offer, like the colleagues from DWDL to report. However, it is not known how these plans are currently doing.
You will look in vain for the RTL group channels on “Joyn”. If you want to watch RTL, VOX and Co. in the live stream, you either have to purchase the premium subscription from TV NOW or use one of the other TV streaming services that both channel groups offer in the live stream:
