iPhone 14 pre-order: 6 tips

You’ll have to wait a while before you actually get the iPhone 14, because the first devices will only be delivered next week (September 16). But you can pre-order as early as September 9.

From 14:00 Dutch time it is possible to order both the iPhone 14 (Plus) and the iPhone 14 Pro (Max), but beware: more people are probably planning to buy one, which can increase the delivery time considerably. So make sure you are on time and prepare yourself well with the following tips.

1. How much do you want to spend: iPhone 14 (Pro) prices

The prices of the iPhone 14 (Plus) start at 1019 euros. The iPhone 14 Pro (Max) only starts at 1329 euros. With both devices you get 128 GB of storage to store your apps, photos and video, among other things. We’ve put together all the starting prices of the iPhone 14 below.

• iPhone 14 Plus with 128GB storage: 1169 euros
• iPhone 14 Pro with 128 GB storage: 1329 euros

Decide in advance which device you want: the larger the storage, the longer the model usually remains available because the demand for it is lower.

2. What color and storage capacity

The iPhone 14 (Plus) is available in blue, purple, midnight, starlight, and (product)RED with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage. The iPhone 14 (Pro) is available in deep purple, space black, silver and gold with the aforementioned storage options and an extra large 1 TB version.

The color you will choose with the pre-order of the iPhone 14 (Pro) is of course a personal preference. But the amount of storage is important to think about. After all, it is not possible to expand your storage afterwards.

Do you use iCloud and don’t plan to play (large) games? Then 128 GB is enough. You should keep in mind that you sometimes have to free up space if you use a lot of different apps. Are you going to shoot a lot of photos and videos with your new iPhone and want to play heavier and bigger games? Then opt for 256 GB storage or more, then you’re always in the right place.

3. Where are you going to buy the iPhone 14: webshop, provider or Apple Store?

The iPhone 14 (Pro) pre-order will start on September 9 from 2:00 PM. You can then order the new iPhones at the (digital) Apple Store and many other Dutch web shops. So check now where you want to order your iPhone.

When it’s almost 2:00 PM, open multiple tabs at different stores in your favorite browser. If your favorite color is sold out, you can quickly try it somewhere else. Also log in with your account, so you don’t have to request your password again while the sale has already started.

5. Download the Apple Store app

Are you planning to pre-order the iPhone 14 (Pro) from Apple itself? Then we recommend downloading the Apple Store app. The app often works a little faster and it is easier than going through the steps of the iPhone pre-order on the website. So take advantage of that!

6. Be on time (before 2pm)

The pre-order of the iPhone 14 (Pro) starts at 2:00 PM Dutch time and, as always, we don’t know how much stock Apple has available. So try to be ready a little ahead of time.
