Pregnant and just got a new job: “They only said: ‘How bad for you'”
You would have just signed your annual contract at your new job and found out that you are pregnant. It happened to Sandra and the happy surprise was not appreciated.
So she says in an interview with LINDA.nl.
Sandra: “The day after I got a positive pregnancy test, I called the company to tell them. That I had just signed a contract, but was also pregnant. They just said, “I’m sorry.” Of course it wasn’t good timing, but I didn’t get any congratulations. I thought that was terrible.”
No one in the office believes she didn’t know she was pregnant. That’s why she works hard and hard throughout the pregnancy to prove herself.
‘You fucked up’
After the birth of her son, her manager wants to come to the maternity visit immediately. Even though Sandra is still in the creases and her head is not ready yet. She dare not refuse.
Chatting about syringe diapers, blue mice and a pink cloud is not an option. “She said, ‘I want to talk about work. You fucked up.’” She more or less owes the burnout that her manager is struggling with to Sandra. “From then on, a shadow hung over my maternity period. When I bottle fed my baby, all I thought about was work.” She continues: “I’ve made my work more important than my family, and I’m fed up with that. The maternity period could have been so much better.”
