Porsche unveils very expensive carbon e-bikes
Order these Porsche carbon e-bikes right away with your brand new Taycan Cross Turismo while you’re at it.
If you read Autoblog today, you also learned that Porsche presented the Taycan Cross Turismo. The photos showed how you can transport bicycles on the back of the electric car. These were not just a set of bicycles, but new products that Porsche will actually sell. As you would expect from the German car manufacturer, they are not exactly cheap.
It concerns two carbon e-bikes, each with its own characteristics. The first model is called Sport and, as the name suggests, is aimed at the sporty user. Both Porsche carbon e-bikes are equipped with a Shimano motor, in the case of the Sport the EP8. There are disc brakes on the e-bikes and thanks to the carbon fiber construction, the bike weighs only about 21 kg. The price tag is not tender, namely almost 9,000 euros!

The second model is the Cross. This model has a number of similarities with the Sport. Such as the disc brakes and the brand of motorcycle. However, the character of the e-bike is different. Where the Sport has an electronically controlled drivetrain, you have to shift mechanically with the Cross e-bike. Costs: a little more than 7,000 euros.
Porsche developed the bicycles in collaboration with the German bicycle manufacturer Rotwild. The Porsche carbon e-bikes come on the market in three different sizes and will be available from spring.
