Play a hacker in the new Czech game -apkrig
A new Czech game Hack Grid arrived on Steam a few days ago. It is a logical title with a hacker theme, created by Martin Firbacher under the heading Daisy Games. He was inspired by the aesthetics of DOS classics.
The principle of the game is described by the author as follows. “Each type of figure is unique and has its own rules. Some can be moved, some change color, some eat other pieces, and some become obstacles that get in the way, ”explains Martin Firbacher. “In each level, the player must move the pieces so that there is only one left,” he adds.
Hack Grid not only mimics the graphics of old games, but also their sound. Thanks to a special filter, the game can also look like you were playing it on an old CRT monitor. But if this style doesn’t suit you, you can of course turn it off. The game contains 60 levels and a special mode for speed rounds.
The individual levels should be short, but increasingly insidious. Even if you are the first to pass easily. After every 10 levels, a new mechanism is introduced. The author even thought of players with color vision impairment. Hack Grid is available for Windows, Mac and Linux and sells for about 1.5 euros. There is also Czech.
Daisy Games is a new small independent studio created only by Martin. It already has several free games on itch.io, some of which can only be played in a browser. Focuses on 2D games.
