Pikmin 4: Undersea Castle Solution

The Undersea Castle is a cave in Pikmin 4 that you must explore in the Still Shores area. In the cave you will encounter a dangerous water ghost, but that’s not the only problem. In this guide we will show you how to complete all levels of the cave.

This is how you master the underwater castle

The underwater castle is the first cave that presents you with real obstacles. The first problem is that you can only take blue Pikmin into the underwater castle. In the cave, however, fire enemies and poison traps await you, among other things, against which your blue Pikmin have no chance. So you’re probably wondering how to get through the cave successfully.

The solution to this problem is the glow Pikmin. It’s actually quite simple, but it’s easy to forget that you can call them for help. If you’ve already completed a few Night Expeditions, you should have Luminescent Seeds in your bag. You can use Glow Seeds to summon Glow Pikmin in caves. Immune to fire, poison, and other adversities, glow Pikmin will help you eliminate all dangers in the underwater castle. However, keep in mind that the glow seeds are consumed by the use. So you shouldn’t spend all the glow seeds, but so would we at least 20 glow Pikmin recommend.

But the light-up Pikmin are also powerless against an opponent, namely against the water ghost. If you spend too much time on a level, the water sprite will appear and try to roll over you. You can’t harm the water ghost at first and have to flee. It is best to complete all tasks before the ghost even appears. On the fifth and final level, a direct confrontation with the water ghost awaits. Luckily, you can also find Purple Queen Flowers here, which spit out Purple Pikmin. The purple Pikmin are as powerful as 10 normal Pikmin and trigger gravitational waves with their impact. If you throw the purple Pikmin at the water ghost, you can finally do damage. Thanks to your new helpers, the boss is no longer a challenge.

If you haven’t 100% completed the levels of the underwater castle, you can re-enter the cave and do it all. It’s definitely easier to collect all the treasures on the second run.
