Oppo announces Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro with stylish design
Oppo’s portfolio has been expanded with the Oppo Reno 8 series. The two devices, the Reno 8 and the Reno 8 Pro, are both equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, which has already been successful in other devices.
Oppo Reno 8 Series Announced
Oppo came out with the Oppo Reno 6 series last year, a series that we also discussed in the Oppo Reno 6 review. Now it’s time for a new series. Where the Reno 7 series is not widely available for the European market, the opportunity may be there for the Reno 8 series. After all, the Reno series has been used in our country for a long time. It is a decent series of mid-end devices, which, for example, compete with Samsung’s Galaxy A series.
Oppo Reno 8
First of all, there is the Oppo Reno 8. This smartphone is equipped with a 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution. Oppo also provides the smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, along with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage space. The photos are taken with the triple camera, the main camera of which has 50 megapixels. The smartphone also gets an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens, along with a 2 megapixel macro lens. The Oppo Reno 8 comes with a 4500 mAh battery that you can quickly recharge with 80W.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro
Then there is the Pro model. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro appears with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution as well. The camera setup is the same as the 8 and so is the battery. The 80W charge should fully charge the battery in 31 minutes, the manufacturer promises. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro differs in the processor in addition to the larger screen. This is namely a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor. Its features are twice a 2.85GHz chip and four times a 2.0GHz chip.
For now, the Oppo Reno 8 series has only been announced for China and India. It is not yet known whether the devices will also come to Europe. When we have more information about this, we will of course keep you informed.
