OnePlus Open: the presentation date is clarified for the brand’s first foldable smartphone
OnePlus has already said that its first foldable smartphone, which should be called OnePlus Open, will arrive during the third quarter of 2023, without further details. Today, a date makes its appearance: August 29th.
A few rumors had already suggested that the OnePlus Open would arrive in August, without further details. And if we are to believe the information of SmartPrice and leaker Max Jambor, it will be August 29th. The presentation would take place at a conference in New York. The brand already knows the city, since the OnePlus 10T was presented there in 2022.
The OnePlus Open is expected to be a high-end foldable smartphone with an interior screen of almost 8 inches, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip under the hood and good photo sensors. It promises to be the foldable phone to beat, in order to compete with Samsung (Galaxy Z Fold) and Google (Pixel Fold) in particular.
Still on the subject of OnePlus, Max Jambor claims that the OnePlus 12 will land sometime in December. However, there is no specific day communicated. This would correspond to the launch in China. International availability could therefore wait until early 2024. In comparison, the OnePlus 11 was announced in January and went on sale internationally in February.
