OnePlus Nord does not harm the manufacturer: 3rd manufacturer in the Netherlands

OnePlus has plunged into the mid-market again this year after five years. The company did this with the OnePlus Nord. And with that, the manufacturer manages to score well, according to new data.

OnePlus does good business with ‘Nord’

According to research by Counterpoint Research, OnePlus did good business with its devices in the third quarter of 2020. The market itself shrank by 8 percent in these three months. OnePlus achieved growth of 412 percent, compared to the same period last year, according to the research.

OnePlus has announced that it is now the third largest producer in the middle segment, in the Netherlands. This segment consists of devices between $ 250 and $ 399, the research firm argues. The market share has thus doubled by 11 percent.

Other manufacturers were also doing quite well; Oppo saw its smartphone sales increase by 120 percent, Xiaomi by 50 percent. Samsung was also on the rise, with an increase of 9 percent. Apple fell (20%) as did Huawei (69%). The OnePlus Nord series has recently been expanded with the OnePlus Nord N10 and the N100.
