OnePlus Red Cable Club
In a press release, OnePlus announces that the Red Cable Club is coming to Europe. It is a loyalty program for members that was previously only available in India. The intention is that you build up points in all kinds of ways to get more discount on your purchase of OnePlus products. Anyone who registers will already receive a discount.
The Red Cable Club operates on a rank system and each rank has different benefits associated with it. Anyone can register for free via the website to get started. You start out as an ‘Explorer’ and as your score increases you move up into the other ranks where you get more discounts, as you can see in the table below.
Explorer | Insider | Elite | Supreme | |
Score: | 0-349 | 350-999 | 1000-4999 | 5000+ |
Discount phones: | 2% | 5% | 8% | 10% |
Discount accessories: | 10% | 20% | 30% | 50% |
Delivery: | For free | For free | For free | For free |
How does the score rise?
There are four different ways to increase your point total. First of all, you immediately get 30 points when you register your OnePlus account and another 20 points when you allow OnePlus advertising in your mailbox.
A final free way to get points is when you indicate on the OnePlus website that you want to stay informed about an upcoming product. Each time you will receive 5 points and that for a maximum of 50 times a year. What is special is that the points you collect in this way expire after 1 year.
And then there are the points you get per product purchased on the website. OnePlus always converts the purchase value of your product into points. All points you collect in this way are valid for two years.
