Official Telegram Premium: a subscription for more features

Pavel Durov, the co-founder of Telegram, announces the implementation of Telegram Premium. This is a new paid subscription that adds functionality to messaging.

The decision to launch Telegram Premium was driven largely by requests from the platform’s biggest fans. Pavel Durov Explain in a message:

After some thought, we realized that the only way to allow our most discerning fans to get more while keeping existing features free was to make those higher limits chargeable. That’s why we are launching Telegram Premium this month, a subscription plan that allows everyone to acquire additional features, speed and resources. It will also allow users to support Telegram and join the club that will receive new features first.

The good news is that the new paid offer will not affect the experience of current users of the platform. Telegram will remain free. Additionally, files, media, and stickers uploaded by premium users will appear to free users, with extra-large file sizes. Premium reactions already used in a message will also be available to free users who wish to use the same reaction.

The launch of Telegram Premium will therefore take place in June, but there is not yet a precise date. By the way, what will the price be? No information yet, but we should know soon, just as we should know the list of new features.
