Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent: Square Enix confirms that the game will be available on iOS this year in Europe (trailer)

Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continentsuperb prequel mobile from the no less superb Octopath Traveler, will be available in Europe and the United States later this year. The game has been available in Japan for many months, and nothing seemed to indicate that a localization was in progress for the rest of the world. Square Enix has just confirmed the game’s arrival in the West, and it’s bound to be great news for all fans of old-school JRPGs, not to mention that the Octopath franchise offers beautiful retro-pixel graphics enhanced with nice effects of parallax and blurring (like watching animated dioramas).

The fights are in the great tradition of the JRPG, that is to say that they are based on turn-based mechanics which require you to manage the specializations of the members of your team of adventurers. For the rest, we just have to wait for an official date on the App Store…
