O2 rewards children with Christmas presents and helps single-parent families on the brink of poverty

This year We have canceled the Christmas party for our employees again due to anti-pandemic measures. However, we decided to dedicate part of the funds, intended for the event, to families who could not or could not afford the desires of their children for Christmas presents or even for many ordinary Christmas dinners in the circle of loved ones. We are proud that the willingness to help is also inherent in our colleagues, who to date have fulfilled more than half of the list of more than 100 Christmas wishes of children and families in difficult life situations. In addition to Christmas children’s dreams, even calmer and happier Christmas moments even for single-parent families on the brink of poverty, suffering from hunger, cold and lack of clothes.

The Free Andy agency came up with a proposal for PF cards in cooperation with the Matej Tóth Sports Academy. During O2’s five-year support, thousands of children passed through the academy, for whom, thanks to it, exercise has become a popular form of leisure time. This year, the children from the academy were given the opportunity to wish something to O2 partners and customers by the year New Year 2022.

The activity also includes the Doma Festival, which begins with today’s live stream

The O2 Fair Foundation also participates in the activity, which, in addition to supporting new approaches to education and critical thinking, aims to contribute to the protection of freedom, human rights and democracy.

In the days when the whole world commemorates the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Paris in 1948, I am extremely pleased that we at the O2 Foundation can join in the celebration of International Human Rights Day with many of our activities. One of them is the support of the non-profit organization Depaul Slovensko, which provides public benefit services aimed at helping homeless people. Homelessness affects human dignity and people who lack a home tend to lose access to many human rights, the right not to be discriminated against, the right to vote, the right to social and health care, or the right to education.
