Nothing Ear 1 can beat Apple and Samsung?
After some abstract images, Nothing finally provides the first concrete information about the Ear 1 case and that is very promising.
Although the full reveal is still a while away, Nothing gives a preview of the upcoming in-ear earphones. For the time being, ex-OnePlusser Carl Pei is working on one product and that could well become a winner. The Nothing Ear 1 earphones come with a damn good case.
Nothing Ear 1 case
In a press release, Nothing already shows one half of the Ear 1 ears. The special, transparent design is not the only thing that stands out. The Ear 1 case houses a 570mAh battery that can provide the earphones with a maximum of 8 hours of listening pleasure within 10 minutes. With active noise cancellation (ANC) on, the earphones last about 6 hours.
According to Nothing, this ensures that the case alone can provide 24 hours of battery life for earphones with ANC on. Without ANC, the case should even be able to deliver 34 hours of juice. Finally, you can charge the case both wirelessly and with a USB-C cable.
Major competitors such as Samsung and Apple have a somewhat comparable product with the Galaxy Buds Pro and AirPods Pro respectively. But Apple gives the case 519 mAh battery life, while Samsung only has 472 mAh. In short, on paper, Nothing knows how to give the Ear 1 earphones much faster and longer juice through a sturdy case.
Nothing will fully announce the Ear 1 earphones on July 27 at 3:00 PM Dutch time.
