The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is unlikely to be the big hit. According to a new leak, Samsung’s folding cell phone will hardly differ from its predecessor – at least in terms of the design of the back. Previously there had been speculation about a different appearance.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: hardly any design changes?

The fourth generation of Samsung’s folding cell phone is not yet ready to be presented, but rumors about the special cell phone with a folding mechanism are slowly increasing. Contrary to what was previously reported, no revolution pending in terms of design. On the contrary, some customers may not even notice the differences at first glance.

According to a new leak, the cameras on the back are now but not designed differently. Accordingly, at least in this area, everything remains the same. The leaker is also sure that the main camera allows photos with up to 50 MP. As a reminder, on the Galaxy Z Fold 3, all three rear camera lenses only offer a maximum of 12 MP. The successor could also get a triple instead of double optical zoom.

With a more or less invisible front camera can be expected again with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Hopefully Samsung has put a lot of effort into this and is presenting a better solution than was the case with the predecessor. The display bend should also be less prominent.

The dimensions when unfolded should not change with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which is based on a the same size display indicates. This would make the cell phone 158.2 × 128.1 × 6.4 mm.

Instead of the Snapdragon 888, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 should be the newer and faster one Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from Qualcomm be used. The capacity of the battery should again be 4,400 mAh, the battery should be able to be recharged with 25 watts.

To a release date Samsung has not yet commented. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 could be planned for August or September 2022.
