Observant Halo players have found a new but previously unannounced mode in Halo Infinite. The cryptic description of the previously unknown mode is currently being hotly debated in the Halo community. Is Last Spartan Standing a Battle Royale mode?
Languages:German English
Platforms:Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X
What’s up with the new mode?
In early May, Halo Infinite will start its second season with “Lone Wolves”. In addition to numerous cosmetic extras, there are also new playlists and modes. Including a previously unknown mode: Last Spartan Standing. This mode has now been discovered by accident in the game and is causing a lot of conversation in the Halo community:
The name, description and artwork used for Last Spartan Standing sounds suspiciously like a battle royale mode. That would be a novelty in the Halo cosmos, because such a mode has not existed before. However, Halo Infinite is also the first Halo with a large open world and delivers with it the ideal basis for such a mode.
While the Battle Royale assumption triggers mixed feelings in the community, other users are pretty sure that “Last Spartan Standing” is not a Battle Royale mode.
You suspect that the new mode a combination of Gun Game and Big Team Battle (BTB) will be. This is also supported by the fact that BTB is already mentioned in the screenshot of the leak.
Either way, it may take some time before an official presentation is made, because as already mentioned, the new season will not start until next May.
