New iPads on the way: Apple intends to do this
A well-known insider suspects that more Apple hardware will be available in October. According to him, a new iPad Pro with an M2 processor can be expected. The standard iPad should also undergo a major upgrade – and be equipped with USB-C.
Gurman: Apple will show new iPads in October
Apple expert and author of the “Power On” newsletter Mark Gurman is certain that Apple at least two new iPads will introduce. A hardware event is to take place in October, at which two new Macs will be shown in addition to the new iPads (source: Bloomberg). Gurman does not give an exact date for the presentation.
Both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models are expected to be updated. However, a mini-LED display is not expected for the 11-inch model. The new iPad Pro should differ from its predecessors, especially under the hood. Of the Apple M2 processor should be there and provide a performance boost. New accessories, including MagSafe, as well as improved battery life are also expected.
Apple had the iPad Pro most recently in April 2021 brought up to date. New features included the M1 chip, a Thunderbolt connector, 5G support, a mini-LED display on the 12.9-inch model, and an improved 12-megapixel front camera.

iPad 2022: USB-C and a larger display
The standard iPad comes with it several key differences to reckon with. According to Gurman, the iPad will have a USB-C port. If true, Apple would have switched to USB-C on all iPad models. The display should grow to a diagonal of 10.5 or even 10.9 inches, but will not be improved beyond that.
The 10th gen iPad is said to still have a Touch ID home button, but rumor has it it will no classic headphone jack own more. When it comes to the processor, Apple could opt for its own A14.
