New images Pixel Fold seem official from Google
New images of the Google Pixel Fold have appeared and they look very professional. Google professional. Whether they really come from Google and will be used, we probably won’t know until May 12 during I/O, but the well-known delicious Evan Blass (EVLeaks) leaked the images that seem very official.
Pixel Fold
It is not the first time that we are treated to renders of this device, but these images look very des Googles. We see the first foldable Pixel both folded and unfolded in the photo. The images have already been put online, but now new ones have been added, plus details.
For example, Blass says that the device is 5.5 inches high and 3.1 inches wide. It is 0.5 inch thick when folded. In millimeters that is: 139.7 x 79.5 x 12.1 mm. Unfolded it is 5.5 inches by 6.2 inches by 0.2 inches (139.7mm x 158.7mm x 5.8mm). The weight of the device is 283 grams. The front camera is a 9.5 megapixel camera (f/2.2) and there is also an 8 megapixel camera on the inside (f/2.20). It also has an IP rating of IPX8 and uses a USB-C port for charging.
We expect Pixel Fold to be made of high-quality materials, as we experienced with Pixel 6 and 7. In any case, despite its different form factor, the device is very clearly a member of the Pixel family. You will again see the well-known camera bar on the back, albeit a bit shorter than with the other Pixels.
Google I/O
The colors it is available in are rumored to be Obisidian or Porcelain, which actually just means black and white. Earlier this week we already posted a video of the Pixel Fold, but now these beautiful plates and details have been added. Could the next thing we hear about Google’s Pixel Fold come at I/O on May 12? We wait and see.
