Update rolls out to HBO Max for Apple TV
WarnerMedia is currently rolling out an update for HBO Max’s outdated Apple TV app. That write both The Verge if variety† The update fixes some major issues and annoyances. For example, the old-fashioned framework has been upgraded and all kinds of new features have been added, which make streaming HBO Max content a lot more pleasant.
Think of new tabs, more control over your watch list and an easier login method. There is also a Binge Mode, with which you can skip the credits of a series. You will then proceed directly to the next episode. Similar features have long been available from competitors like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. So it’s nice that HBO Max for the Apple TV is no longer lagging behind.
The update is currently rolling out. That means Apple TV users will be able to enjoy the revamped HBO Max app sometime this week. Apple TV’s flawed app is a result of ‘hasty behavior’, writes Engadget† WarnerMedia wanted to make HBO Max available for every platform as soon as possible. Fortunately, this update fixes most issues.

HBO is a popular streaming service, which has also been available in the Netherlands since March. The service created classics such as Game of Thrones and Chernobyl and releases many cool new series and films that score high. Also Euphoria, all Harry Potter movies and House of the Dragon (the prequel from Game of Thrones) can be found on HBO Max.
You pay for the cheapest Basic subscription of HBO Max 5.99 euros per month. The Standard plan will cost you 7.99 euros per month. With the Basic subscription you can watch movies and series in 720p (HD-ready) on one screen. With the Standard subscription, you can watch up to three screens simultaneously in 1080p (Full HD). Some films will also be shown in 4K.
