New allegations cause problems for Marvel star

Allegations against MCU star Jonathan Majors are mounting, according to a new report. Other women are said to have made allegations of domestic violence and are cooperating with prosecutors.

According to Variety, more women are accusing Jonathan Majors of domestic violence. Allegations against the Marvel actor are said to have multiplied following his arrest in March, but so far the district attorney’s office has not publicly commented on them.

Until the cases are resolved, nothing specific can be said about the possible consequences for Major’s career in the MCU. However, the scandal already had consequences for the actor this week when his management and PR team parted ways. (Source: Variety)

Does the MCU need a new Kang?

With Kang the Conqueror, Marvel is preparing the next big villain after Thanos for the MCU. Kang is portrayed by Jonathan Majors, who previously portrayed the supervillain in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and the Disney Plus series Loki.

Now, however, Majors has been arrested in New York City. The reproach: Majors is said to have choked and beaten a woman.

The actor however, maintains his innocence.

And even if said woman has already retracted the allegations, doesn’t look good for majors. The past shows that the accusation in itself is sufficient to end an actor’s career with immediate effect. Disney and Marvel have not yet commented publicly on the incident, but with those responsible for the MCU a plan B is definitely already being worked on.

The multiverse could solve all problems

Since Mayors, in his role as Kang, is the new main villain of the MCU – or rather should be built on it with the upcoming films – would his sacking cause quite a bit of chaos.

On the other hand, Marvel has another ace up its sleeve: the multiverse. Since there is now not only one universe in the MCU, but in principle an infinite number of parallel universes, there is also more than just one Kang.

So it would be conceivable that another actor would take over the role and Marvel explains that with an alternate reality. Much like Loki has also encountered alternate versions of himself in the series of the same name.

The next few days will probably show whether Disney sticks to majors or he will be replaced. We will keep you up to date.
