Mother gets slapped after giving toddler a handful of Pringles as a snack

A small bowl of Pringles in your child’s lunch box: a tasty, easy and above all harmless snack, thought mother Megan Peavey. Her 3-year-old son’s playgroup thought otherwise and left a (rather passive-aggressive) message.

“Please help us make healthy choices at school,” it reads on the container, where Megan had put a handful of Pringles for her toddler that morning. Megan is not happy with the reaction of the, to say the least preschool (playgroup) of her child. “They have me and my 3-year-old snacked by writing such a passive-aggressive message on the tray,” she says in a TikTok video. “I wonder what you would do?” she asks fellow parents. “Do you think this is ridiculous? I do.”

Hassle over a bowl of Pringles

Megan is getting huge acclaim on her TikTok video. ‘The next day, give a bowl of Pringles that says ‘whoever pays, determines the snack’, someone advises. Another writes, “I can’t even explain how bizarre and inappropriate this is from the school.” After the passive-aggressive message from the preschool, Megan decides to confront the principal, she says in a new video. Long story short, the principal still believes Megan shouldn’t have given her son Pringles, especially after reports from the school about giving healthy snacks. “I don’t see Pringles as unhealthy,” says the mother. “Cheetos, Doritos, a Milkway bar, that’s unhealthy. And of course, in addition to Pringles, I also give a muesli bar, yogurt and fruit. Anyway: they should not have left a message on my son’s empty tray, they should have addressed me directly.”

In the update, Megan says that the school refuses to make excuses, does not take responsibility and that her son is no longer welcome in the preschool summer program. What a bowl of Pringles can do.
