iPhone 15 rumors already circulating
It seems like a crazy picture. The iPhone 14 Pro has only been on the market for a month, or we already see rumors surfacing around Apple’s new flagship. The Taiwanese research firm TrendForce is spreading the rumor that the iPhone 15 Pro will get 8GB of RAM. In addition, the agency expects a USB-c connection and a major camera improvement in this flagship. In this article we explain these rumors further.
iPhone 15 Pro gets 8GB of RAM
According to TrendForce, Apple will launch the iPhone 15 in 2023. According to the research agency, this line-up would consist of the same four models. According to expectations, only the two Pro models will get the latest processor from Apple. This means that the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) will be equipped with an ‘A17 Bionic chip’. The other two ‘normal’ iPhone 15 models receive the well-known A16 chip, which we already find in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
With the arrival of this A17 Bionic chip, TrendForce believes that the iPhone 15 Pro will have 8GB of RAM. Current flagships have 6GB of RAM. That is more than enough for the current requirements of a telephone. We are therefore very curious what Apple will do with 8GB of RAM.
‘Also USB-c and periscope camera in the Pro models’
It almost has to be; the switch from a Lightning port to a USB-C connection. The European Union passed a law earlier this year requiring such a change. The iPhone 15 must now get USB-C. We might be even more excited about another iPhone 15 Pro rumor. The research agency underlines rumors about a cool camera function that we have heard before.
The iPhone 15 Pro (Max) should get a periscope camera. With this technique, in which the camera is horizontal in an iPhone, the Apple phone can zoom in optically as much as 10x. It also ensures that this latest iPhone can capture a (more) natural depth of field. Apple is likely to announce the iPhone 15 lineup in September 2023.
