Microsoft Teams – how do I change the background?

In the video conferencing and chat service “Microsoft Teams” you can set a different background when your webcam transmits your picture. You can see how it works here.

Change background in “Microsoft Teams”

This works in both the desktop program and the mobile app:

1. When you join a meeting, click the at the bottom of the toolbar three points (…) and select “Apply background effects” out.
2. The Blur effect blurs your background.
3. Alternatively, you can choose one of the suggested images as the background.
4. You can also upload your own background images if you wish.
5. Elects “preview‘ to see what the selected background looks like before it is applied. After that you can take it over.
