Create and send videos with Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Outlook users will soon be able to not only read their messages via the Android app, but also record and send videos. Microsoft is announcing that this feature will be available for the Outlook Android app from April 2023.
To upload the video, it will be from OneDrive for Business storage. That is the business version of OneDrive and 1 TB of storage is available per employee. So Microsoft wants to focus the feature mainly on these business users where employees can benefit from more storage space and thus large limits for videos.
Users can record a video from their phone in the Outlook mobile app and then seamlessly upload it to their email.
Microsoft is also working on integrating the Microsoft Teams chat function into Outlook. Similar to Google Chat in Gmail. This way, Outlook users can quickly send a message via chat without having to open Microsoft Teams separately. That saves switching between the two apps.
At the editors we wonder what exactly you could or would like to do with such a video function in Outlook. Do you have brilliant ideas? Let us know in the comments.
