Marvel: the documentary on Stan Lee has the right to its trailer
Marvel has released the trailer for the Stan Lee documentary, which premieres June 16 on Disney+. The project was first announced last December.
Here’s how Marvel described the documentary when it was announced:
Today, on what would have been Stan Lee’s 100th birthday, we celebrate his legacy as the co-creator of legendary characters like Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Black Panther, L ‘Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Thor, Silver Surfer, Ant-Man, Nick Fury, The Avengers and hundreds more. We’ve seen Stan in the pages of Marvel comics as well as onscreen with the many Marvel Studios cameos.
The trailer pretty much captures what made Stan Lee such a charismatic figure with the comics all these years. His love for the characters and the fans made him a mainstay in this medium.
“Hello, I’m Stan Lee. Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics Group, Superhero Comic Magazines »says the creator in the trailer. “We had no money, it was during the depression. But I read whatever came to hand. And I felt like I could go anywhere. What I tried to do was write the kind of stories I wanted to read. Our superheroes are the kind of people you and I would be if we had a superpower. I like to think that this is actually a religious crusade”.
We can imagine that the documentary will be the opportunity to have several testimonials from the actors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). See you next week to find out.
