Marvel Projects Differ Where Star Wars Are Same According to Mark Ruffalo (Hulk)
Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner / Hulk at Marvel, will soon appear in the series she hulk and he naturally promotes it with several interviews. The one with Subway is talked about since the actor believes that each Marvel film / series is different, where the Star Wars are identical.
Asked if there is too much Marvel content right now, Mark Ruffalo replies:
It’s not something that worries me. I understand that these things run their course and something else comes up. But what Marvel has done well is that inside the MCU, just like the comics, they let a director or an actor recreate each piece in their own style, in their own likeness.
Marvel usually lets them bring what they want to the material. If you watch a Star Wars, you’ll pretty much get the same version of Star Wars every time.
This statement from the actor may surprise knowing that Marvel and Star Wars belong to the same group, namely Disney. He praises a property (the one in which he participates) and takes the opportunity to tackle another.
Mark Ruffalo’s comment comes after the series creator Lost, Damon Lindelof, said having fewer Marvel movies would make each one more special. Mark Ruffalo has been in the MCU since Phase 1, playing Bruce Banner/Hulk in all four movies avengers and in a handful of other projects. He’s never appeared in a Star Wars project though (and there’s little chance he will in the future based on the statement).
