Marvel Dairy Reaches New Heights with Ms. marvel (trailer)

The superhero giant has another series for us, this time Ms. marvel. On the other hand, don’t expect too much from this umpteenth milk batch.

While a slew of Marvel series are moving to Disney+, the multi-billion dollar studio of Disney continues to milk well. The next big show is again more of the same; Ms Marvel features a typical origin story trailer and accompanying CGI shots. The show will be available on Disney+ from June 8.

Ms. Marvel

You know. An apparently normal teenager struggles to find her place in the world. She secretly dreams of something more. In the case of Kamala Khan on a meta level as she is a superhero fan and would like to become a superheroine herself.

Fortunately for her, she gains cosmic powers very similar to those of Captain Marvel. Yes, the two are not directly related, but they do share the meta name.

Once equipped with superpowers, Ms. Learning to take responsibility while defeating an all-threatening villain at the same time. Well, after around 40 films, spin-offs and TV series, it’s a bit worn out with originality.

Still a spider

That does not alter the fact that Ms Marvel has an absolute right to exist, if only because she is played by a Pakistani actress. Many of the cast also have Middle Eastern roots. It is a population group that has so far been relatively rare in the Marvel universe.

Earlier we saw Ms Marvel pass by in Square Enix’s The Avengers game. You know, the huge flop. One of the many criticisms of the game was the fact that no one was waiting for the Marvel character in question and especially wanted to play with ‘real’ heroes. So the new show has a lot to prove anyway.
