The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been the highest-grossing film and television franchise in the United States since 2014. The superhero film universe currently consists of 27 films, 18 series and several small spin-offs. Disney and Marvel have planned generously for the future. At GIGA you will find an overview of all films, series and short films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how you can watch them in chronological order.
At San Diego Comic-Con 2019, the people behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe announced big plans for 2020 – but the pandemic and closed theaters thwarted all plans a few months later. Actually, 2020 should come with “Black Widow” and “Eternals” the fourth phase of the MCU to be started. Likewise should “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” as the first exclusive Marvel series for Disney+. Almost everything has been postponed by a year, including those planned for 2021 “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “Thor: Love and Thunder” will be in cinemas in 2022.
In addition to the bearable shifts, there are also unchangeable, sad facts. Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer in August 2020. The sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is still slated for release in late 2022. The main role of King T’Challa will not simply be recast, instead the film will probably focus on the legacy of the superhero and thus more on other characters.

All Movies – MCU Phase 1, 2, 3 & 4
The Marvel film universe is currently divided into four phases. The phases have nothing to do with the chronological order of the films themselves. So “Thor” and parts of the “Captain America” series play before the founding of the SSR (Strategic Scientific Research) and the series “Agent Carter” mostly before SHIELD
