Mapy.cz introduces voice search and commands. Look

The Mapy.cz mobile application comes with another great feature. It appeared in the latest beta version voice search as well as speech commands. A narrower group of users now has access to more efficient (and safer behind the wheel) control the most important part of the application. For these purposes, the Czech tool does not have its own speech-to-text converter and uses the one that is embedded in Android by default by Google. Nevertheless, it performs many useful tasks.

Useful commands that the user is most likely to need include for example “navigate” or “navigate” in combination with a given place. During testing, we found that in this case, not only the term “work” works (which the application provides as an example), but also specific names of cities and sometimes streets and specific objects. Of course, it is even possible to search for them normally without starting the navigation immediately. Because Google only translates voice input into the Map input text line, errors also occur.
