Major leak reveals Google’s Pixel roadmap
What else can we expect from Google in the Pixel line in the coming years? Well, enough, according to the leaked roadmap that has appeared online. The schedule runs through 2025.
Pixel roadmap leaked
Google will continue with the Pixel line for the time being. This is clear from the leaked roadmap that has appeared online. The news about this is revealed by colleagues from Android Authority. Google still has plenty of plans for the coming years. This year, Google officially released the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in the Netherlands, where they were not previously released in our country.
Based on the information in the roadmap, it becomes clear that Google wants to expand the Pixel line considerably. Keep in mind that things can still change in the near future, and that this is only a planning of the brand.
In 2023 we can expect different devices. We can expect the new Pixel 7a during Google I/O in the spring. Some things have already leaked about this and we expect a lot from it. The smartphone manufacturer may also release the foldable Pixel Fold at Google I/O. In the fall of 2023, Google has the (not very surprising) plan to release the Pixel 8 series. Presumably the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro. Information about this is not yet known.
In any case, we expect the Pixel 9 series in 2024. According to reports, Google would still doubt whether it will release a Pixel 8a in the spring of 2024. For example, it would be considered to release an A-model once every two years, as Apple is doing with the iPhone SE. A new Pixel Fold may also appear in 2024, but it depends on the success of the first generation whether there will indeed be a successor in 2024.
The Pixel 7 Pro in the extensive review
The Pixel 10 series and a clamshell of the Pixel Fold is planned for 2025. This means that a foldable smartphone is planned that has a similar design to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4. However, this is still a long way off, so anything can certainly happen in the meantime. The Pixel 10 series could possibly consist of three models. In addition to a standard Pixel 10, it is possible that two models will be released in the Pro series, which is probably related to the size of the devices. A new Pixel Fold can also be expected in 2025, but this again depends on the results of the first generation, which will be released in 2023.
