macOS Monterey beta 8 is available
Apple is making macOS Monterey beta 8 (build 21A5534d) available tonight. It comes a week after the previous one which was distributed to developers and public testers. The one of the day is, for the moment, offered to developers.
New beta available for macOS Monterey
There is no information yet on what’s new in beta 8 for macOS Monterey. Apple may be in the final stages and therefore not adding anything in particular to focus on bug fixing and general performance improvements. Feedback from developers who have installed this version will allow you to see any changes from one version to another.
If your Mac is configured to receive developer betas, open System Preferences and click Software Update. You will see Beta 8 and will be able to download and install it.
Apple still does not give a precise release date for its new operating system on the Mac. The only time slot advertised is fall. For information, macOS Big Sur was launched on November 12, 2020. Will we have to wait until November 2021 for its successor? Or can we imagine a release during the month of October? Only Apple has the answer for now.
As a reminder, Apple offered earlier in the evening the second beta of iOS 15.1 on iPhone, iPadOS 15.1 on iPad, watchOS 8.1 on Apple Watch and tvOS 15.1 on Apple TV.
