Lara Croft will head to Nintendo Switch -apkrig next year

Nintendo has been taking care of the offer of third-party titles for its consoles for a long time and takes care of its gradual expansion. Thanks to this, a number of resounding series visited Switch. We can name for example Doom, the renewed series Wolfenstein, The Sorcerer, Diablo and even Skyrim, who has already arrived at everything that has a display anyway… Next year, however, the portfolio of third party titles will grow by the immortal Lara Croft, even a hair better.

The arrival of the famous archaeologist will surely please the owner of the console, however, the enthusiasm needs to be tamed a little right from the start. The switch is not aimed at critics and players at the very well-received modern trilogy, but at the pair of titles Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.

Both are isometric action adventures with elements of arcades, which, in addition to fast-paced action-packed gameplay, also offer cooperative multiplayer. The announcement itself is stingy on the details and mentions it as vague as an issue next year. Further details concerning, for example, any extended content are not known. It is also not clear whether this is not just a vanguard and whether Square Enix is ​​not going to be on the ports of the recent trilogy, or at least their streamed variant.

However, the attached tweet shows that the ports are in charge of the Feral Interactive studio, which otherwise focuses primarily on editing titles for macOS and Linux. The team’s experience dates back to 1996, and during its long history the studio has created ports such as the Batman Arkham series, lots of Lego-branded games, XCOM sci-fi strategy and dozens of other titles. As for Switch, the Feral Interactive team ported the horror film Alien: Isolation and Grid Autosport, both successfully.

Square Enix planned to announce the ports of the 2010 and 2014 titles as part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Tomb Raider brand. The publisher also accompanies this rare opportunity with discount events, which accompany titles with Lara Croft in the lead role on almost all platforms.
