Official announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4
The trailer of Kingdom Hearts 4 features the Quadratum which, while looking a lot like Tokyo, is described by Square Enix as a “Sprawling city set in a beautiful, realistic world unlike anything seen in the Kingdom Hearts series”. The trailer also introduces Strelitzia, a new character.
Sora makes a triumphant return with an updated look at the start of an epic new storyline titled Lost Master Arc. After seeing Sora take on a giant enemy in a boss fight, players are introduced to the Quadratum, a large sprawling city set in a beautiful and realistic world unlike anything seen in the Kingdom Hearts series. Fans will be delighted to see the return of Sora’s well-known companions, in addition to the first appearance of Strelitzia, a mysterious new character who appears before Sora in this strange new setting.
For the moment, the studio does not reveal on which platform the game will be available or what the release date will be.
A mobile game will also be released
Square Enix also announced a separate game, Kingdom Hearts Missing Link, in development for Android and iOS. The mobile game features adventures from the kingdom of Scala ad Caelum from Kingdom Hearts 3, in the real world where players will face the Heartless. According to Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts Missing Link will feature a new and original story, but will almost certainly tie into the story of Kingdom Hearts 4.
