January update for Galaxy S8, Nokia 5.3 and 2.2; February patch for Galaxy S9
Samsung and Nokia have prepared a new update for a few of their devices. Users of the Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S8 and Nokia 5.3 and 2.2 can download a new update for their device.
Galaxy S9 and S8 are getting update
Good news for Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 + and Galaxy S8 and S8 + users. The manufacturer has started to roll out a new update for the two Samsung devices. This is February security update for Samsung Galaxy S9 series. Samsung has prepared a security update January 2021 for the Galaxy S8 series. As far as is known, the update has no further new functions on board, only the security patch.
Nokia 5.3 and 2.2
HMD Global has begun to distribute January security update for two Nokia devices. Richard reports that his Nokia 5.3 has received the update. Another device that has received the update is the Nokia 2.2.
The updates will be rolled out from now on. If you can download it on your own smartphone, you will receive a notification on your device.
