Jack Black will play Claptrap in Borderlands -apkrig
After Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Hart, another star joins the cast of the film adaptation of Borderlands. She is Jack Black, who coincidentally met Hart recently on the screen in the new Jumanji. Black lends his voice to a robot named Claptrap, who is one of the most prominent characters in the series.
Two years ago, the director of the film Eli Roth filmed the comedy The Wizard’s Hour with Jack Black, where Cate Blanchett also appeared. And he praises that he can work with a popular comedian again. According to Roth, Claptrap is the funniest character in the game and Jack is said to bring him to the big screen.
The dude from the game complained on Twitter that he was very disappointed with the news, because he also thought about the role.
Claptrap was originally given a voice by two other dubbers. The first was David Eddings, who later quarreled with Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford. Jim Foronda dubbed the robot after him. He’s on Twitter postesklthat he is very disappointed with the news, because he also thought about the role. He will not lie. According to his words, he loves Borderlands and Claptrap and it is a pleasure to dub him.
At the same time, however, he congratulated Black on taking good care of him. He later even urged fans not to be bad at Gearbox due to the “overdrive”, saying that Claptrap remains in the games and more will come.
I can’t lie— It’s a crushing disappointment. I’d thought about possibly being in the movie for years.
I love Borderlands. I love Claptrap. It’s absolute joy to be his voice for the games.
Congratulations, @jackblack, I know you must love him too. Please take good care of him.

Claptrap’s original drummer David Eddings has not yet responded to the new announcement. But in January wrotethat Kevin Hart would be great for him. However, he eventually plays Roland. Cate Blanchett plays Lilith and Jamie Lee Curtis takes on the archaeologist Dr. Patricia Tannis.
As we wrote before, the film adaptation of the game series Borderlands from Gearbox is to start shooting soon in Hungary. It was first announced in 2015, but its pre-production did not start in full until the beginning of last year. The screenplay was written by Craig Mazin and Aaron Berg. Although Craig Mazin started with the comedy series Scary Movie, he became famous for his screenplay for the successful series Chernobyl.
